I was feeling a bit homesick, and the sea at dawn always reminds me of my hometown. I hope the warm colours of the painting will bring some heat to these cold snowy days!
10% of the final price of this painting went to Barnardo's Scotland.
Living in Scotland certainly makes painting easier! For this one, I was inspired by the beautiful mountains, lakes, and cliffs that I am surrounded by in this stunning country.
Here is another painting of flowers with palette knives! I like how this technique leaves the paint so thick on the canvas. It creates a good illusion.
Autumn colours and landscapes are a delight for the eyes. The inspiration for this painting came to me while going for a walk in the park. Nature is the best inspiration!
In this canvas, I wanted to reflect the simplicity and beauty of flowers in bloom in the countryside. As it is painted in 7 x5'' canvas, it would fit in any frame with those dimensions (see suggestion below)
And my first commissioned painting finally arrives to my blog! It is a lovely Irish landscape, Giants Causeway. Beautiful, I enjoyed painting it a lot! Hopefully, will visit it in person some day!
I thought of challenging myself a little with painting sunflowers- which I love! with palette knives. This technique allows you to paint quite quickly and it's so much fun!
This painting would easily fit in 7 x5" photo frames so it would look very nice as a decoration in any room!
