I was feeling a bit homesick, and the sea at dawn always reminds me of my hometown. I hope the warm colours of the painting will bring some heat to these cold snowy days!

I finally managed to paint on a palette! I couldn't find wooden palettes anywhere, but my lovely brother found some for me. Gracias, hermano! 

A good way of displaying painted palettes is placing them on a plate stand. They look great displayed on a shelf or table just like that!

Faro de Trafalgar

These magnificent views are just a couple of kilometres away from where I spent most of my childhood. It is a sunset in "el Faro de Trafalgar" (the lighthouse of Trafalgar), situated in Los Caños de Meca, a lovely small beach in the south of Spain.

For this painting, I was inspired by the magnificent sunsets of the southern Spain beaches. It is worth staying late at the beach just to see the beautiful colours from the sky reflected on the sea.
